A Johnson High School student was arrested Monday morning for making a terroristic threat towards the school.

North East Independent School District spokeswoman Aubrey Chancellor said school administrators and district police quickly identified the freshman boy, who was contacted as soon as he got on campus.

“As soon as that student walked in he was talked to and it was just determined that it was just a threat and there was no merit to it,” Chancellor said.

550 KTSA was told the threat was “vague” on Snapchat, a social media app.

“We simply will not tolerate those types of threats and his parents were contacted,” Chancellor said. She wouldn’t say if the boy would be further disciplined by the district.
