Judson ISD Remembers Karen Wagner

Judson ISD honors one of its own, killed in the September 11th attacks 15 years ago.

“Lieutenant Colonel Karen Wagner was a graduate of Judson High School,” the district’s Steve Linscomb said.

The 1979 graduate was inside the Pentagon that Tuesday 15 years ago when the plane struck, killing her and many others.

“She really embodies the spirit of not only this district, but I think this city also, in a lot of ways, because there’s such military presence and influence,” he said.

The ceremony is at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery Monday at 10am.

“It’ll be a ceremony that’ll have a lot of importance, it’ll be very quick, but we think it’s important for us to remember that sacrifice,” he said.
