While a freshman in high school, Ricci started to sow his radio roots at KLVL in Pasadena, TX. Since then he has worked around the country before he came to KTSA in 1957.
Ricci Ware is a radio legend. As the highest rated radio personality in the history of San Antonio, he has influenced more South Texans than any other individual in the media. His laid back “How ya doin’ my man” attitude welcomes listeners of all ages.
San Antonio’s most recognized conservative radio voice; Ricci is a powerful opinion leader and highly credible spokesperson.
Ricci has three children, seven grandchildren, and a great granddaughter. He married his high school sweetheart, the late Mimi Ware also known as the “Moot.” Ricci shows his zest for life through travel, his faith, flying his own airplane, boating, and his Harley Davidson.
In 2004, the members and board of Directors of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame selected KTSA’s Ricci Ware as the 2004 inductee.
He’s heard exclusively on News Talk KTSA, Monday-Friday, 11am-1pm.
