LGBT Marriage Anniversary

Monday marks one year since the Supreme Court’s landmark decision on same sex marriage.

Robert Salcido form Equality Texas says while they celebrate the decision, the recent tragedy in Orlando proves there’s a lot of work to do.

“The loss of the 49 individuals in Orlando shows us there’s so much more that needs to be done. We’ve also seen 20 LGBT Texans get attacked in Dallas.”

Salcido says a majority of Texans favor a law protecting LGBT people against discrimination on jobs, public accommodations and housing.
