Manziel Makes First Court Appearance

A quick first appearance in a Dallas courtroom for Johnny Manziel following his indictment last month for what police describe as an assault on an ex-girlfriend in January.

Judge Roberto Calinas ordered thee former Texas A&M standout Quarterback to stay away from the woman he’s accused of hitting during a night out.

“By no contact, what I mean by that is you can’t call her, you can’t text her, you can’t email her” Calinas told Manziel, who was indicted by a grand jury last month.

Manziel is free on bond as his case plays out. It has been a rough year so far for “Johnny Football,” who was also released by the Cleveland Browns, and dropped by two different agents.
