Manziel May Have Deal in Domestic Assault Case

It looks as though one-time Texas A&M star Quarterback Johnny Manziel may have a deal with prosecutors that will result in the dismissal of the domestic assault case involving a former girlfriend.

Defense Attorney Jim Darnell said he was encouraged about the chances of the deal being completed following a hearing Thursday Morning in Dallas. Another hearing has been set for December 1st–at which time the case could be settled.

The 23-year old Manziel–who was a First-round draft pick of the Cleveland Browns only to be dumped by the team after two seasons–is accused of hitting and threatening his former girlfriend following a night out back in January.

Manziel left the courthouse without commenting.
