Mayor Taylor Visits DC

About 100 business and community leaders from San Antonio are in Washington DC this week. Mayor Ivy Taylor says they are in the nation’s capitol to meet with Texas Senators and Congressman about issues important to the Alamo City. including a direct flight to D.C.

The Mayor says she met with Senator John Cornyn who told her if it can happen it will happen.

“A direct flight to Washington is very important to the military in San Antonio.”

Taylor spent time with representatives form Google to discuss their expansion here.

“The meeting that we had was really helpful. Just as far as knowing that they’re committed to working with us in San Antonio and understanding our neighborhood’s needs.”

The Mayor says overall, the trip is going well as they continue to push for business to pursue development and expansion in San Antonio.
