Murdered Mom’s Family Raising Funds for Children

The family of a woman who was shot and killed in a murder-suicide is raising funds for the couple’s three children.

Thirty-two-year-old Sarah Alexis Furey was a Navy veteran who served in Afghanistan. A GoFundMe page has been set up for her family, and the funds will be used to support her three young sons.

Furey was killed by her estranged husband, Richard Concepcion, early Sunday outside her home on Arbor Bluff. Concepcion took off with their 18-month-old son.

The boy was later found safe in his father’s truck in Guadalupe County, but Concepcion died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Police had been called to the home on Arbor Bluff several time for domestic-related issues and threats.
