Teniente was struck by a 2015 Ford F-150 driven by an 18-year-old San Antonio man, according to a news release. Witnesses told police that Teniente was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of IH-35 when he was struck by the pickup.

Prior to the victim’s positive identification, NBPD was asking the public for tips on Facebook and had posted a couple pictures of his tattoos.

The incident is under investigation by the NBPD traffic unit. However, no charges are expected to be filed against the driver of the pickup.
