New Zika Case Reported in S.A.

Metro Health is reporting another case of Zika in Bexar County, bringing the number to 8.

Dr. Anil Mangla says there is some good news, all of the cases were acquired when the infected person was traveling out of the country.

“Do we have the Zika mosquito in San Antonio? Yes. Do we have the virus in the mosquito? No.”

Dr. Mangla says we all can do our part to prevent the spread of Zika. Dumping any standing water near your property and using DEET are the two most important steps.
