Northwest Side Apartments Shot Up

San Antonio Police are trying to figure out who shot up some apartments in the near Northwest Side.

Officer Doug Green says shots rang out around 4:20 this morning on Alametos near IH 10 and four apartments were hit.

“This apartment complex was riddled with bullets, but fortunately no one was hurt,” said Green.

He says one of the four apartments was vacant.

“It looks like a handgun and a shotgun were used. Officers found about 25 to 30 shell casings,” said Green.

They don’t have much to go on as the search continues for suspects.

“We don’t know if this stems from an altercation or if it’s gang related. We’re keeping all our options open.”

Officer Green says several men were seen getting into a nearby car and driving away. He’s urging anyone with information to contact the police department’s homicide unit.
