Voters in several states are heading to the polls as another round of primary voting takes place today.
Brandon Rottinghaus at the University of Houston says when the polls close, Hillary Clinton will have more than enough delegates to be the presumptive Democratic nominee (CBS News and others project Clinton has already reached that mark) but, that doesn’t mean Bernie Sanders will automatically throw his support behind Clinton.
“If he continues to describe the party as being broken and the process as being corrupt and pushes this message through the convention, it could be damaging for the Democrats.”
On the Republican side, Rottinghaus says Donald Trump needs to take this time to focus on how he will handle Clinton during a tough battle in November.
