JOB DESCRIPTION

The 550 KTSA News team is looking for a talented, professional broadcast reporter/anchor with a great attitude and ridiculously high work ethic to work early mornings.  We are not looking for another employee or warm body but a TEAM MEMBER.  We need a team member who takes direction well from leadership and who works very well with others and does not bring drama into our building.  Is that you?  If so, we need to see and hear your work.  If you have issues please move on to the next posting.

We need a team member who is a seasoned reporter with at least 2 years’ experience working in the news room of a medium to major market.  We need a team member who is capable of wearing any hat in the news room from the primary responsibility of reporter to news anchor or traffic anchor and even digital content creator.  Don’t waste your time unless you are ready to dive into the deep end of the pool and produce content that matters for a huge news talk audience and on tight deadlines.  You must not be timid or afraid of getting in front of people to ask tough questions.  You must be able to work a rotating on-call weekend schedule in addition to your regularly assigned hours of 5AM-2PM, M-F.

Please send resumes, references, packages, airchecks and writing samples to the News Director, Christian Bove, at cbove@bordermedia.com. No phone calls please.  Border Media is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
