Legendary conjunto accordionist Flaco Jimenez is receiving the nation's highest honor for folk and traditional arts. 

The San Antonio musician will receive the National Endowment for the Arts 2012 National Heritage Fellowship in Washington, D.C. in October. 

The 73-year-old Grammy winner is a founding member of the Texas Tornados and has performed with Willie Nelson, Ry Cooder, and the Rolling Stones.
