A fundraiser is underway to pay for medical expenses for the University of Texas San Antonio grad student who was mauled by chimpanzees in a South African primate sanctuary.
Andrew Oberle remains in a medically induced coma, and has had multiple surgeries since the June 28th attack.
Fundraisers have so far raised more than 43-thousand dollars, half of which was raised by his roommates in San Antonio through an online WePay site. 
The Grotto Bar in Stone Oak hopes to raise at least five-thousand more with bar sales and VIP table purchases.
