Three people killed this morning in an accident on Interstate 35 North near Schwab Road. A wrong way driver struck a family of five.
Brad Bailey, spokesman for the city of Schertz, says that no one was initially hurt in the accident.
"Some good samaritans including a  bus driver driving a tour bus full of passengers and a Fire Captain from Houston pulled over to the side of the scene to try to help out.  And then a second accident occured when a tanker truck pulled around and struck through the good samaritans and also the wrong way driver, killing the three of them instantly".
The main lanes of I-35 were shut down for hours, while traffic was diverted to the access road.
