SA Native Directs James Brown Flick

San Antonio native and movie director Xavier Ramirez recently began production on what he hopes will be an award winning flick about the Godfather of Soul, James Brown.
The movie, entitled "I Got Soul," is about Brown's life leading up to the day he recorded two of his most well known songs, "Sex Machine" and "Super Bad."
Ramirez said 95 percent of the people in the movie are from San Antonio and the city is the perfect place for filming.
"San antonio has really blossomed into a film making city. The commissioner is really film friendly," he said. "We're able to find unique locations like this that can replicate Nashville and not miss a beat."
Ramirez said they are still looking for help, including actors.
