Bexar County Commissioners give a thumbs up to a one and a half billion dollar budget for the coming fiscal year--despite plenty of challenges.
"In four years, we've had no increased revenues in property taxes--so we've had to work for fouyr years with no increased revenue--and this year just a tiny bit" said Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff.
The budget includes a three-percent cost of living increase for non-uniformed workers--and two-percent for elected officials--while commissioneers call for raising the livable wage from nine-75 to just over 11-dollars per hour. the property tax rate stands at just under 33-cents per hundred dollars of value.
