Popovich was fined $250,000, but now a Florida attorney has filed a class action lawsuit accusing the Spurs of violating the state's deceptive and fair trade practices law.
Larry McGuinness claims that he and other fans "suffered economic damages" because they played a premium price for a ticket that should have cost less. Ticket prices are higher when the home team plays high-profile opponents.
"We found out on the way to the game that the starting lineup had been sent home," said McGuinness.
Even with Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Danny Green out, the Spurs came close to beating the Heat. The final score was 105 to 100.
"They played a decent game, but there's something to be said for watching Tim Duncan and Tony Parker and some of the others I looked forward to seeing," McGuinness told 550 KTSA News.
McGuinness told ESPN," It was like going to Morton's Steakhouse and paying $63 for porterhouse and they bring out cube steak."
