Man Rescued From Condo Fire

San Antonio Fire Department  crews were called to the 42-hundred block of Medical Drive Monday  morning to battle an apartment fire and rescue a  tenant.

Neighbors at the Spyglass Hill Condominiums were startled to see around 25 fire units responding.

Batallion Chief  Walter Yates, said the 30 year old male, first seen hanging outside the third floor apartment, was quickly rescued and taken to University Hospital where he is recovering from second degree burns to his legs.

Yates believes the cause of the kitchen fire was electrical, and estimates $30,000 structure damage and $20,000 to the contents of the only unit damaged by the fire.
