The Great Texas Warrant Roundup is underway across the state--with police and courts teaming up to reolve more than a quarter million outstanding warrants.
A grace period through March 1st will allow those with outstanding warrants for things like traffic offenses to arrange payments.
"During that time period, we're encouraging all individuals with Class C warrants, traffic warrants, code compliance warrants--to come in to court to resolve those warrants" said Municipal Court Clerk Fred Garcia. Once the grace period expires, authorities will go door to door, to places of business, and to schools--searching for those who haven't taken care of their warrants.
"We've got officers assigned at each substation, and all of the marshals will be inolved in it" said San Antonio Police Chief William McManus.
