by Elizabeth RuizA man accused of stabbing his friend with a sword during an argument is behind bars on a charge of murder.
Police Sgt. Javier Salazar says the two men were drinking at a home on Grove Street in the South Side early Tuesday when they started arguing.
"That argument, we're told, escalated to the point where the suspect actually stabbed the victim in the chest with a sword," Salazar said.
He told 550 KTSA that the victim was pronounced dead on the scene and the suspect, identified as 33-year-old
Christopher Shows, has been arrested and charged with murder.
It's believe the men were arguing over a woman when Shows allegedly grabbed a 30-inch sword and stabbed the victim.
His bond is set at $200,000.
