by Elizabeth Ruiz

San Antonio police have released the report on the crash that left two Brandeis High School students dead and two others injured.

The report released Tuesday confirms that witnesses told police they saw the driver racing another vehicle before his car collided with a pickup on the access road of Loop 1604 near Hausman Road February 19th.

Seventeen-year-old Gabriella Lerma was pronounced dead on arrival at University Hospital and 16-year-old Georgina Rodriguez later succumbed to her injuries.

She was laid to rest Tuesday, the day police released the report of the accident.

Police say Lerma and Rodriguez were in the back seat and were not wearing seatbelts.

The driver, 19-year-old Antonio Flores and front-seat passenger, 18-year-old Monique Castaneda were seriously hurt, but police say they were wearing seatbelts.
