By Bill O'NeilA San Antonio Police Officer is recovering after a late Tuesday night accident on the Northwest side of town.
We're told it all happened a little before midnight along thr State Highway 151 access road near Loop 410.
"One of our officers was assisting a stranded motorist on 151. He had his emergency lights activiated" said SAPD Officer Matthew Porter. The officer was trying to escort that vehicle off of the expressway when Porter said his patrol car was sideswiped by another vehicle being driven by 37 year old Juan Rodriguez.
"Yhe officer sustained a dislocated shoulder as a result of the accident" Porter told 550 KTSA News.
Rodriguez was placed under arrest, and faces a DWI charge.
