By Johnny Shannon and Bill O'NeilA new collaboration between the Children's Hospital of San Antonio, Baylor College of Medicine, and Texas Children's Hospital is unveiled.
It's a plan that has been in the works for some time--and Vice-President and Hospital Administrator Marcie Doderer told 550 KTSA News everyone involved is feeling very upbeat.
"At the end of the day, our real vision is to be the premier children's hospital in Central and South Texas and San Antonio" Doderer said.
Under the agreement, Baylor College of Medicine will recruit and hire doctors--while Texas CHildren's Hospital will provide consulting and clinical assistance. Doderer said about ffity to seventy private practice physicians are being sought.

"We will be able to recruit, attract, and retain some terriffic physicians and scientists and build those clinical programs to expand what we are already doing today so that we do it better tomorrow" Doderer said.
