More Sequester Finger Pointing

By Bill O'Neil

The he said-he said goes on--with the Head of the Texas Democratic Party taking aim at Republicans when it comes to the ongoing debate over across the board federal spending cuts.
Amid the criticism that President Barack Obama isn't doing enough cutting of his own--such as golf outings or a staff dog trainer--the message from Texas Democratic Party Chairman Gilberto Hinojosa is simple--grow up.

"That's not how you solve this problem...start acting like an adult" HInojosa said, adding "Those kinds of attacks on the President justdon't get us anywhere. They don't cut the deficit by one penny."

Hinojosa insisted Texans are already feeling the impact of the so-called Sequestration--and said it will only get worse as time goes by.

"I mean come on--The President is willing to make a deal even on entitlement programs--and that's not soemthing that a lot of us Democrats are particularly happy about" HInojosa said. Still, he was quick to point a finger of blame.

"This deficit was caused by two unpaid wars--by a huge tax cut for the wealthy during the George Bush years--by tthe economic downturn caused by the Republican policies" Hinojosa said.
