A former military training instructor is heading to prison for his part in a sex scandal at Joint Base San Antonio Lackland.

Earlier this week, Master Sgt. Jamey Crawford pleaded guilty to charges of adultery and having unprofessional relationships with a basic trainee and a technical training student.

Thursday, a military judge at Lackland convicted him of consensual sodomy and making a false official statement.

"He was sentenced to a reduction in rank to E4, which is senior airman, seven months of confinement, two months of hard labor without confinement and a bad conduct discharge," said spokeswoman Lt. Samantha Neese.

She told 550 KTSA News that Crawford's trial was the 11th court martial involving sex charges againt military training instructors.
