A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 10 pm Friday for parts of South Central Texas, including San Antonio.
Thunderstorms, accompanied by strong gusty winds, hail and lightning started rumbling across the city Friday afternoon triggering numerous watches and warnings.
The storms also downed power lines and left San Antonio area residents in the dark.
AccuWeather is predicting more showers and thunderstorms Saturday.
"Looks like there will still be showers in the area Saturday and maybe a thunderstorm, but I expect the worst will be over. Skies will clear up Saturday night and we'll have good weather for Mothers Day," said AccuWeather meteorologist Bob Larson.
