A Democratic political action group is out with the results of a new poll--which it said shows a clear path for turning Texas from a red state--into a blue one.
By the numbers, activists said the key in in a continued effort aimed at attracting latino voters to the Democratic Party.
"Republicans in Texas are winning statewide elections--in general elections by a million votes. While that sounds like a lot, I will tell you--there are 2.15 million Latinos in Texas that are not registered to vote--but are eligible" said San Antonio State Representative and One Texas Pac Founder Trey Martinez-Fischer.
Pollster Julie Martinez Ortega said such a focus will end up paying off for Democrats in the years ahead--with Latino voters already making up 43-percent of the state's blue vote.
Saying "We would end up seeing by the year 2030 54% of the electorate statewide supporting Democrats in Texas.
