Storms Trigger Flooding, Outages

by Elizabeth Ruiz

Thunderstorms rumbled across San Antonio and surrounding areas Friday, triggering power outages and flash flood warnings.

At the  height of the storms, the CPS Energy power outage map showed nearly 3,000 customers without electricity.

Flash Flood warnings were issued for Bexar County and areas East and Northeast of us.

Firefighters responded to downed power lines and lighting was suspected in a North Side house fire on Rogers Road.

There were several calls for downed power lines and a couple of calls for high water rescues that were cancelled when occupants of stalled vehicles managed to get out on their own.

AccuWeather says we'll have a shower or thunderstorm on Saturday and more rain on Saturday night, but Sunday should be clear.
