Six people are recovering from minor injuries suffered in a school bus crash in Southwest Bexar County.
Maury Vasquez with the Somerset School District says the accident occured Tuesday afternoon.
"We had an SUV traveling Eastbound in the 4700 block of Loop 1604 that collided with one of our buses departing Somerset Junior High School," said Vasquez.
Several people suffered minor injuries.
"We had a total of six people, three from the SUV and three from the bus, who sustained minor injuries. They were all transported by EMS to area hopsitals," Vasquez told 550 KTSA News.
The bus driver, a bus driver's aide and a student were transported to Southwest General Hospital. An adult and two minors in the SUV were taken to Methodist Hospital. Vasquez says all suffered minor injuries.
The school bus was seriously damaged in the crash.
"The bus was towed away. It sustained some damage by the driver's side in the front wheel area," said Vasquez.
The investigation continues into the cause of the crash.
