One of the state's ten most wanted fugitives could be in the San Antonio area.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is offering a reward of up to $7,500 for information leading to the arrest of 48-year-old Robert Anthony Lopez, who has ties to Bexar County.
DPS Trooper Noe Fernandez told 550 KTSA News that Lopez is a reputed member of the Tango Blast gang with a lengthy criminal record.
"Aggravated sexual assault of a child, assault causing bodily injury, assault of a disabled person, burglary, possession of marijuana and violation of a protective order," said Fernandez.
Lopez also has been arrested for prohibited weapons and criminal trespassing.
"On October 3, 2009, Lopez hit his wheelchair-bound girlfriend in the face and fled the scene on foot. He was arrested by the San Antonio Police Department," said Fernandez.
Lopez is 5-foot-9 and weighs 188 pounds with scars on his head and arms.
"He has several tattoos, including the words 'San Anto' across his upper back and a heart with an arrow and a ribbon and names on the right side of his chest," said Fernandez.
