One of the state's ten most wanted fugitives has been taken off the streets in San Antonio.
We're told two separate tips led authorities to 48 year old Robert Lopez--a man with a long criminal history.
"Lopez had a violent criminal past--which included aggaravated sexual assault of a child" said Summer Blackwell with the Texas Department of Public Safety. She told 550 KTSA News officials hav ebeen makign great progress in catching up with the people who end up on that most wanted list.
"So far in 2013, DPS and other agencies have arrested 19 of the state's most wanted fugitives and sex offenders" Black well said, adding "In many cases tips from the public were key in capturing these criminals. This year, $34,000.00 has been paid for tips resulting in an arrest."
In the Lopez case, officials said the two tips will result in a $7,500.00 reward payout.
