Cornyn Plans "No" Vote

The number two Republican in the United States Senate takes an officials tand on the immigration reform bill be debatged by fellow senators.  

"I will not be able to support the senate bill" said Texas Senator John Cornyn, frustrated by what he sees as a shutting off of the conversation by the Democratic leadership--with chances dwindling of seeign any more amendments to the measure being taken up. 

"Senator (Harry) Reid knows he's on a glide-path to completion and is unlikely to subject his members to difficult votes" Cornyn said, adding he's looking forward now to working with the U.S. House on a better compromise measure--once that body passes it's own immigration reform plan.  

"I do hold out hope we can continue the discussion--and put together a bill that will merit my support" Cornyn said.
