Gen Clark Steps Up for Vets

By Johnny Shannon and Bill O'Neil

We all know it can be a challenge--matching America's military veterans to the jobs the desperately need.

But that effort to match is what's driving a new program--which retired Army General Wesley Clark is helping to oversee.

"You've got to get reintegrated in to society--and it's tough. People at home haven't just stood still--and they haven't saved a spot for you. Mostly they're trying to take carfe of their families too" Clark said in speaking of the challenges military veterans can face during a stop in San Antonio. That's why he's helped pick up the cause.

"What we wanted to do is take a proven concept--that has a lot of popularity with people. That's a money making successful business--and open it up to veterans" Clark said.  Enter the Grilled Cheese Truck.

"This food truck is dispatched--this is for organizations who want... in the military we call it logistics support... here--they want food" Clark said.

The company is reserving one-hundred franchise opportunities exclusively for qualified military veterans. It's been a perfect ft for Vernon Gibson.

"I was a little over twenty years food service in the Army--the concept fit my qualifications" Gibson said.
