A Via bus driver is suspended--after admitting to running a red light--and crashing in to three cars.
At least seven people were taken to the hospital following the early Tuesday Morning crash at the intersection of Pleasanton and Southwest Military.
"He has reported he ran a red light. While the matter is being investigated, he has been releived of duty" said Via's Priscilla Ingle. She told 550 KTSA News all drivers are thoroughly trained before they ever get behind the wheel.
"And then peridocially throughout their career they do continue to go through training both in how to handle a vehicle as well as customer service training" Ingle said.
According to police--the driver told them he was tired at the time of the accident--and didn't see the traffic light until it was too late to stop.
