San Antonio's City Council has put the brakes on plans for spending one million of your dollars on a consultant to represent rental car companies at the airport.
It's all part of plans for constructing a brand new rental car facility at San Antonio International--bringing lots of questions from City Councilman Carlton Soules.
"I'm having trouble understanding why they're not paying for it--why it takes four years--this is not that complicated a facility" Soules said, adding "I don't see a million dollars spread over four years when you already have design consultants, you already have construction."
Soules said the rental car companies will benefit greatly from having the new facility--and should step up and do more of thier fair share when it comes to the project. Others insist such a hire has been an important part of similar prjects in other cities around the country.
"That is a critical element for the team that is needed in order to insure the success and efficiency of this operation" said City Aviation Director Frank Miller.
Ultimately, Council decidd to wait and gather more info before casting votes on the proposed hire.
