A search for answers is underway--after gunfire erupts aboard a VIA bus.
It happened at around 8:30 Monday Morning in far eastern Bexar County--near Loop 107 and Lone Oak.
"There were three passengers abord the bus when this occurred--the two involved in the incident--along with one additional passenger" VIA's Priscilla Ingle told 550 KTSA News, adding "We're hopeful is is just an isolated incident that occurred.
Paul Berry with the Bexar County Sheriff's Department told 550 KTSA News it all began with a dispute between the gunman and the victim--who ended up flown to San Antonio Military Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the jaw. Berry said the gunman got off the bus--removed the bike he had put on the front rackj--then tried to baord the bus with the bike before the driver ordered him off.
At that point--the accused gunman then pedaled away from the bus--and in to Wislon County--where he bunkered down inside of a home for a time before being taken in to custody.
There's no word on what may have sparked the argument that led to the gunfire.
