He made a lot of noise in the days leading up to the partial federal government shutdown--but as the debate drags on, we haven't heard nearly as much from Senator Ted Cruz.
"From his motivation, he has achieved the success he wanted--that is he is now the leading Obama opponent at the national level-particularly for movement conservatives" said Rice University Political Science Department Chairman Mark Jones.
While many though Cruz might be more of a presence during the continuing debate--Jones told 550 KTSA News the Senator might simply be waiting to see what happens.
"Now it's time to let the grownups go in and actually broker a deal--then he can always take potshots at that deal after it's taken place" Jones said.
