It's called "Pups and Planes"--and the new program has come in for a landing at San Antonio International Airport.
"We're partnering with Therapy Dogs, Inc and Delta Pet Partners of San Antonio. These organizations work throughout the community to work with children, and they work with hospitals" said San Antonio International's Nora Castro, who told 550 KTSA News the goal of the program is simple: to provide some "fuzz therapy" to stressed out travelers.
"It's one of the first of it's kind here in Texas--and probably just a few in the United States" Castro said.
The dogs that take part in the program will have been tested and cleared for it--they are easily identified by the blue kerchiefs they wear.
