SAPD Officer Involved Shooting

By KTSA News Staff

A San Antonio Police Officer is on administrative duty as investigators look in to an officer-involved shooting on the northside.

We're told officers were responding to a call of possible drug activity at a hotel in the 76-hundred block of Jones-Maltsberger Monday Night--when they were met at the door of a room by a 34-year old moan who attempted to pull a eapon from his waistband.

That's when police said an officer drew his own weapon and opened fire. That man, along with two other people who were in the room att he time--were taken in to police custody.

The four year veteran officer suffered a minor hand injury during the altecation.
