The statewide gas price average increased slightly from last week, but remains much lower than last year.
In San Antonio, drivers are now paying $3.10 a gallon for unleaded gas. That's two cents less than a week ago, but thirty seven cents below one year ago.
AAA Texas' Doug Shupe tells 550 KTSA News that across the state, drivers are paying twenty
four cents less than the national average of $3.36 per gallon.
The most expensive unleaded gas is in Amarillo and Texarkana at $3.16 per gallon, while the cheapest is in Galveston at $3.05.
It's expected that fuel prices will continue to fall in the coming months due to sufficient supply, lower demand, and the cheaper winter-blend of fuel production.
