Enough is enough--so said a Bexar County Judge who has decided to switch political parties.
Up until now, Judge Carlo Key has been a Republican--next year, he will run for re-election as a Democrat.
"I can not be a member of a party that is proud to destroy the financial lives of hundreds of thousands of federal employees in a vain attempt to repeal a law which provides health care to millions of Americans across the country" Key said in announcing the switch. Joined by several proominent Democrats--including Congressman Joaquin Castro and State Democratic Party Chairman Gilberto Honojosa--Key let loose with his frustration over what he sees in the GOP.
"I can not tolerate a political party in which hate speech elevates a candidate to higher office--rather than disqualify them" Key said, adding "Make no mistake, I did not leave the Republican Party--it left me."
