The pace will pick back up--the word from fuel market watchers after seeing just a slight decrease in the average price at the pump in San Antonio over the last week.
While the price fell by just a penny--to $3.08 over the last week locally--Gasbuddy.com's Gregg Laskoski told 550 KTSA News some of the lowest prices in the country can be found in the region.
"Albuquerque is the metropolitan market with the lowest price at $3.02 per gallon--followd by Kansas City, Tulsa, then we have Houston and Waco at $3.03 per gallon" Laskoski said. With crude prices falling Monday Morning, Laskoski said it won't take long for the price at the pump to do more of the same.
"I wouldn 't be surprised if in another week or two we're at $3 or less" Laskoski said, adding a federal report due Wednesday should help provide more guidance on where prices might go in the coming weeks. Such reports were not issued during the partial shutdown of the federal government.
