Senator Wants No More Excuses

By Bill O'Neil

Just where does the buck stop? The number two Republican in the U.S. Senate thinks we've come a long way from the days of Harry Truman--and his famous "Buck Stops Here" philosophy.

Today, Texas Senator John Cornyn sees a pattern in claims top Obama Administration Officials knew little about the troubles the Affordable Care Act was and would be facing--until he read about them in the media.

"We've seen that with Benghazi, with the IRS scandals, with the Fast and Furious scandal" Cornyn said, adding he has his doubts about the answers given by Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to some of the questions posed to her by a House panel Wednesday.

"It is just unacceptable for the Administration and for Congress--for people in positions of public trust and responsibility to say I don't know" Cornyn said, calling such claims difficult to believe.

While he remains opposed to Obamacare--and continues to support efforts to repeal it--the Senator said lawmakeers on both sides of the issue should be working together now to protect Americans from the law's weakenesses.
