Schertz Set to Canvass Controversial Eelection

By Elizabeth Ruiz

The City of Schertz is set to canvass the results of the controversial November 5th election.

With no one filing for a recount, Support for the City of Schertz Executive Director David Harris told 550 KTSA News the canvassing is slated to take place Monday evening--to be followed by the swearing in of three Councilmembers.

"We're not aware of any cnadidate who filed (for a recount) in the period of time before the canvassign. Had they done that, we would be able to delay the cnvassing" Harris said.

However, at least one of the losing candidates isn't happy with what he's hearing.

Grumpy Azozz, who was initially told he won told 550 KTSA News about 24-hundred Comal Coubty ballots have not been counted--because they could not be retrieved from voting machines.

"I don't see how legally you can swear in these people" Azozz said.
