A long time teacher--who is also a lawyer--is in the running fo the Precinct Four seat on Bexar County's Commissioner's Court.
Nicole Elizalde--who has filed for the Democratic Primary--said she has gotten an earful from her neighbors on a shortage of basic needs in their community.
"We actually don't have a birthing center in Precinct 4... can you tell me why I can't buy school clothes for my children in my particular precinct?" said Elizalde--recounting some of those concerns in a conversation with KTSA News, adding "I'm getting feedback from the constituents indicating they'd like growth--and it's a beautiful precinct."
Elizalde said safety and cmmunity revialization are also very big concerns.
Precinct Four is currently represented by Commissioner Tommy Adkisson--who told 550 KTSA News he Tuesday Afternoon he does intend to file for re-election.
