Newly released numbers show the gap is widening between men and women when it comes to wages in Texas.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the ratio in salary has declined, with both men and women seeing their wages increase on average in 2012--however, the field isn't exactly level.
"Men in Texas saw a much larger increase in their average wages than women did" said the Bureau's Cheryl Abbot, who told 550 KTSA News the latest numbers put Texas in the middle of the pack nationally.
"If you ranked them... Texas ranks 27th" Abbot said.
