4,000 NS Residents Lose Power

by Elizabeth Ruiz
About 4,000 north side homes and businesses in the north side went dark Monday evening and CPS Energy officials are blaming an "animal-related" problem.
"It could have been an animal crawling up on the power line or a big bird landing on it," said utility spokesman Albert Cantu.
He says most of the customers affected by the outage around 6:20 pm near Loop 1604 and Highway 281 were without power for about 10 minutes, but it took an hour to restore electricity to the remaining  1,400 residents.
"We understand nobody wants to be left in the cold, so our crews were working to restore power as quickly as possible," Cantu told 550 KTSA News.
