A teacher at Wagner High School is on administrative leave after his students got a surprise peak at porn in the classroom, but he wasn't even there when it happened.
Judson Independent School District spokesman Steve Linscomb told 550 KTSA News the Spanish instructor took his home computer to school with an instructional video for a substitute teacher to show the students in his absence.
"Once the video was played, an adult website login page appeared with some rather provocative images," said Linscomb.
The substitute reported the incident to school administrators and the teacher, who was out that day, has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
"It appears the regular teacher violated the district policy on technology use, which means you can't bring your home computer and hook it up to district equipment," said Linscomb. "It could bring in viruses or bugs, so we have a district policy that prohibits linking personal computers to the school district system."
The teacher's personal computer has been seized as the investigation continues.
"We obviously can't control what people do in their own homes, but when you bring it into the district then there's a problem," said Linscomb.
He told 550 KTSA News they're trying to determine when some of these websites were accessed and whether it occurred at school.
